The Sacramento Area Alarm Association is a trade association comprised of licensed alarm company operators, security equipment suppliers and other service providers who work closely with local law enforcement agencies.

Dear S.A.A.A. Member,

We are very pleased to announce the 2010 S.A.A.A. Youth Scholarship Program – This contest offers funds to students of a member of our association in the State of California. This can be an employee or family member of an Installer, Office worker, Distributor, Manufacturer, Dispatcher or Owner. One of the unique aspects of our scholarship program is the requirement for each applicant to submit an essay explaining the importance of Security in today’s society. This essay is judged on grammar and content and reinforces the important role that our industry plays in our community. The definition of Security is open to the interpretation of the author. For example, it can be Security of our borders, cyber space, locksmithing, burglar or fire alarms, etc. I encourage your youth between the ages of 15 to 21 to apply for this scholarship and wish them the very best in their academic endeavors. Contact any member of the board for an application or more information. All essays need to be post marked by October 29th, 2010. Awards will be presented at the S.A.A.A. Holiday Party on December 2nd, 2010.
